Integrative Psychotherapy
At Expand your Self Wellness, our approach to psychotherapy is integrative, holistic, and deeply personalized. We understand that healing doesn't happen in isolation—it involves the whole person: body, mind, emotions, spirit, and relationships. That’s why we offer therapy that meets you exactly where you are, and supports your growth on every level.
Our integrative psychotherapy draws from a range of evidence-based and experiential modalities, tailored to your unique needs and goals. This may include Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Gestalt therapy, mindfulness, breathwork, and creative or expressive techniques among others. We work fluidly across these modalities to help you access deeper insight, release stuck patterns, and reconnect with your inner resources.
At the heart of our work is our signature PATH framework—Psychedelic Awareness for Transformational Healing. Whether or not you engage in psychedelic-assisted therapy, the PATH approach helps you access expanded states of awareness, deepen your emotional range, shift unhelpful behaviors, and cultivate meaningful connection—with yourself, others, and the world around you.
Integrative psychotherapy with us is not one-size-fits-all. It’s a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, compassion, and respect for your lived experience. We view therapy not just as a space for healing, but as a space for expansion—for becoming more fully and freely yourself.
MODALITIES USED:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a compassionate, empowering approach that helps you explore the different “parts” within you—like the inner critic, the protector, or the wounded child. Rather than seeing these parts as problems, IFS invites curiosity and connection, helping you understand their roles and transform inner conflict into healing and integration.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a powerful, research-backed therapy for processing trauma and distressing experiences. Using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements), EMDR helps the brain reprocess stuck memories and emotional responses, allowing you to feel more regulated, grounded, and free from the past.
Gestalt Therapy
Gestalt therapy brings awareness to the present moment—what you're feeling, sensing, and experiencing right now. It emphasizes personal responsibility, the mind-body connection, and the healing power of direct, embodied experience. Through creative techniques and dialogue, you’re invited to reconnect with your authentic self in real time.
Creative & Expressive Modalities
Sometimes words aren’t enough. We incorporate art, movement, sound, writing, and other forms of creative expression to help you access and process emotions in ways that feel natural and intuitive. These modalities tap into your imagination and inner wisdom, opening new pathways for healing and self-discovery.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness invites you to slow down and gently bring your awareness to the present moment—with curiosity, not judgment. By tuning into your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations as they arise, mindfulness helps cultivate clarity, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself and your life.
Breathwork
Breathwork uses conscious breathing techniques to help release tension, shift emotional energy, and access expanded states of awareness. Through the breath, we create space for insight, regulation, and renewal—supporting both emotional healing and a sense of inner vitality.
TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)
TRE is a somatic practice that helps the body naturally release stored tension, stress, and trauma through gentle tremoring. These neurogenic movements originate deep in the nervous system, allowing the body to unwind and reset—supporting greater calm, resilience, and physical ease.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy bridges the mind and body, recognizing that emotions and trauma often live in the nervous system—not just in our thoughts. Through gentle body awareness, movement, and nervous system regulation, somatic work helps you process what words alone can’t—supporting deeper healing, embodiment, and lasting change.
