David (he/him) is a courageously curious, deeply relational, and gently direct psychotherapist who supports individuals, couples, and families in more fully connecting with self and others.

He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Washington, D.C., and holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

He completed a two-year training in Gestalt Therapy with the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh and focused on trauma work with the Gestalt Centre of the UK. He earned a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Advanced Certificate through Fluence and completed the Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy Immersion with the AEDP Institute. His professional development is supported through ongoing education, consultation, and personal work.

He collaborates with clients to co-create a safe environment where growth and healing can unfold. He believes that all people possess an inner healing wisdom and that, as individuals return to wholeness, they naturally discover new and meaningful choices.

His therapeutic style draws primarily from Gestalt, an experiential, relational, here-and-now-oriented, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach. He strategically incorporates mindfulness, somatic and body-based processes, role reversal, enactment, dream work, parts work, and other creative experiments.

Depending on client needs, he integrates Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal Theory, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychedelic and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP), and other therapeutic frameworks.

He has provided psychotherapy in outpatient and intensive outpatient settings across both mental health and substance use domains. His clinical experience includes supporting clients with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, shame, anger, relationship challenges, obsessions and compulsions, attachment wounds, family-of-origin issues, grief and loss, life transitions, meaning-making, psychedelic integration, and other concerns.

He has also facilitated community-based psychedelic support groups and contributed to psychedelic art, education, harm-reduction, and legislative projects.

Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys rock climbing and bouldering, gloving with friends, producing short films, and embarking on video game quests.
