Ariefa Srour

SHE/HER
MSW Counseling Intern

Ariefa (she/her) believes healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. She is a warm, compassionate, and collaborative therapist-in-training who strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore life’s challenges, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

Ariefa’s therapeutic approach is person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. She believes healing is not simply about reducing symptoms, but about understanding the whole person. She is passionate about integrative and holistic approaches to mental health that recognize the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness and other evidence-informed practices into therapy while honoring each client’s unique values, culture, and personal goals. Her interdisciplinary education has shaped her appreciation for the interconnectedness of mental, physical, emotional, and social well-being.

As a first-generation Palestinian-Jordanian American, Ariefa understands the profound influence that culture, family systems, identity, and community can have on emotional well-being. She values creating an inclusive space where clients from all backgrounds feel respected, understood, and empowered. She also welcomes conversations surrounding spirituality, faith, and meaning-making whenever they are an important part of a client’s healing journey.

Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity development, women’s mental health, mindfulness, and supporting clients as they cultivate resilience and self-compassion. She believes every individual possesses the capacity for growth and healing, and she feels honored to walk alongside clients as they discover what wellness means for them.

Outside of her clinical work, Ariefa enjoys spending time in nature, practicing mindfulness, learning about holistic wellness, and spending quality time with her daughter.
